If you aren't getting most of the kills you could get "The Pawn" instead of "Executioner". By the time they max warfare and start building up their crit factor, they go from doing great damage to doing roflcopterwtf damage. Warfare/Huntsman does great damage all throughout the game due to the high base damage of crossbows and elemental (blood) arrows. In the mid to late stages of the game they will overtake dagger scoundrels. So they pump their elemental factor first, then start building crit bonus%/high ground bonus% while accumulating crit chance from gears and talents, then wits. This is mainly because crit based builds require crit rolls on gear and talent investment but elemental% is worth more damage than crit bonus% until you are basically maxing elemental%. Other damage dealers (all except dagger scoundrels) will wits dump later than supports - in the mid to late game. They are therefore free to dump all their attribute points into memory for tonnes of skills and then wits so they can secure the first turn for your party. For a summoner or support/summoner to do damage, they do not need to invest any points in strength/finesse/intelligence. Support casters can wits dump for the initiative because they either don't do any damage that matters or they do their damage via summons which only scale off summoning level, not attributes. Wits dumping on a dagger scoundrel is a waste because of this unique property of daggers. If an enemy backs into a corner you swap places so you can reach their back. Sometimes enemies will back into a corner and you can't move or teleport into the cone. The area where you can auto crit is shown as a white cone behind enemies. To do this you must always be attacking from behind. Its actually better if you deliberately equip gear without crit chance provided the item can roll another useful stat instead.Ī dagger scoundrel can crit on every hit with zero crit chance. Thats when you take executioner and play hit and run/de aggro.ĭaggers automatically crit when attacking from behind. If you are double lone wolfing then the build and gameplay will change a lot. Leave support buffs like haste to someone else (ideally a support summoner who will do decent damage via incarnate and can buff the entire party at the same time). You can get life steal on both daggers and thats more than enough to keep you topped off as long as you spend your AP doing damage. Weapon stats are very flexible since most of the affixes don't help you very much. You dont really need self healing or support healing. Anything above and beyond that can be for flavour. You also want the good warfare attacks like battle stomp and battering ram for damage + hard cc. You use free movement or cheap movement (backstab, tactical retreat, phoenix dive and cloak and dagger) to position yourself in battle so you always attack from the rear. If you need a stat dump after maxing finesse and getting enough memory for all your skills I guess you can put points in constitution but its not required.įor talents you take The Pawn, Picture of Health and Opportunist. Chicken can still be combo'ed with rupture tendons but its not as good as it used to be.įor attributes you pump finesse and put points in memory when you need to learn more skills. Polymorph 1 for chameleon cloak (de aggro) and chicken claw (to help with cc chaining). You can take 2 in huntsman for tactical retreat if you want. You basically just max warfare, then soundrel for damage and you get 2 points in aerothurge for teleport and nether swap.
